or...Research of Waste Materials in Cumbria
Riversmeet and the University of Cumbria are asking businesses in Cumbria to participate in a research project related to our waste project called ‘Upcycling’ which aims to transform waste materials and second-hand goods into products for the home therefore redirecting them from disposal to landfill.
We want to establish the type and volumes of waste material there may be available in the County which would be a useful resource to Riversmeet and our upcycling scheme. This information will be solely for the use of this research project with the intention of benefiting the Riversmeet community and their aim of contributing towards a 0% waste economy.
To determine businesses interest in the upcycling project and to characterise the type and volumes of waste material which could be utilised by Riversmeet, a short, simple survey in which we are inviting businesses to participate. The survey may be found at the following address: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/D59SSWR
Responses will be treated confidentially and should a business wish to be contacted privately to discuss the research and its aims and objectives then contact Elspeth Lees, Senior Lecturer in Environmental and Applied Science,
University of Cumbria email: elspeth.lees@cumbria.ac.uk
