or...PROGRESS - WHAT PROGRESS?

Tragic humanitarian and natural disasters go unnoticed by a world that only measures progress by GDP:
In Sudan GDP rose by 23% in this decade, yet 600,000 people have been at risk of starvation during drought and famine over the same period.
Even in the UK, that has experienced massive growth in recent decades there has never been a greater gap between rich and poor than there is today.
How do you think we should measure progress?
