Interested in generating your own energy?
Government grants available now
2009 is turning out to be an amazing year for going green. With government grants now available of up to £2,500 for renewable energy technologies, maybe now’s the time to join in?
Renewable energy could be ideal if you want to cut your fuel bills in the long term, be more self-sufficient and less affected by fluctuating energy prices. You can even sell your electricity back to energy suppliers.
Thanks to the government’s low carbon buildings programme, you could get a grant for solar panels, a wind turbine or wood-burning stove. Or how about money towards a heat pump, a water turbine or wood-fuelled boiler?
Applying for a low carbon buildings grant is easy. Apply online and get an email telling you if you’ve been successful. But hurry. Grants end soon for electricity-producing technologies. And all grants are awarded on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. So apply now to have a better chance of success.
