Cockermouth and District Soroptimists International club was set up in 1981 and over the last 25 years the club has been involved in; Programme action (community service) lobbying and raising awareness locally, nationally and internationally on human rights and the status of women, economic and environmental issues. Fundraising for local, national and international causes. Forging friendships with other Soroptimists locally, nationally and internationally.
